Hello,
I was happy when The Ambassador came in a new light color that I had been waiting for. Overall, I am happy with it, but it's as if either the buttons are too small or the buttonholes are too large. I find that they often slip out during the day. I already have 2 other Ambassador shirts (black and dark blue) where I do not experience this.
Otherwise, it lives up to the high quality I otherwise experience from your shirts.

To maintain fit, structure, and color, we recommend the following washing instructions for your polo pique shirt/polo:
- Close the top button and fold the collar up before washing
- Wash inside out at 30–40°C on a gentle cycle
- Select low spin (400–600 rpm)
- Use detergent for colored clothes – avoid bleach
- Dry flat to maintain shape. Drying on a hanger will affect the length by approx. 3-4 cm
- Can be ironed at low to medium heat, though this is usually not necessary
- We advise against dry cleaning and laundry services for this product
With proper care, your piqué will stay sharp – wash with care.

One of the elements that has made the Oxford shirt a timeless classic is the iconic button-down collar. With it, you never have to worry about whether the collar sits well. That's exactly why we've chosen this collar on The Ambassador.
Versatile
Roll up the sleeves or maintain a business-casual look at the office with the cuff closed. Unlike our business shirts with two buttons, this shirt has only a single button to adjust the fit at the wrist. Note that the cuff length (5.5 cm) is 1.5 cm shorter than the length of the cuff on our business shirts (7 cm).

Piqué? Isn't he the football player?

Admittedly. Piqué is indeed the last name of a Spanish football player. But it is also the name of a versatile and popular fabric type, ideal for use in casual shirts with a focus on maximum comfort.

The Ambassador is produced in this fabric type, ensuring you a light and breathable shirt with plenty of natural stretch.

Just like our short-sleeved polo, you get the same 360-degree flexibility in the fabric here.

Cotton is not just cotton
When it comes to cotton, it's incredibly simple. The longer the fibers, the longer the shirt lasts. The longer the fibers, the more comfortable it is to wear. That's why we only use 100% certified organic cotton with long cotton fibers (so-called long staple) in The Ambassador. The organic cotton is grown along the Aegean Sea in Turkey. The fabric is knitted, dyed, and sewn in Portugal.
Double garment dyed & garment washed
The Ambassador is double garment dyed, which gives the shirt a more casual look with subtle color variations. This means that the color changes over time, just like you know from your jeans. We wash the shirt at the factory to ensure it can only shrink minimally, thereby maintaining its fit.
Comfort – without plastic
The shirt is made from our signature piqué polo fabric, providing you with natural flexibility and 360° stretch. All this without adding synthetic plastic fibers like elastane. In this section, you can read more about why we actively choose to avoid using synthetic fibers in our entire range.

Natural stretch without synthetic fibers

As a responsible company, we could never dream of adding non-biodegradable synthetic fibers such as elastane, lycra, spandex, polyester, etc., to our shirts.

There are actually natural alternatives to achieve the same stretchability, but plastic is the easy, cheap, and polluting method. All textiles that are used repeatedly will lose some of their mass over time.

This means that parts of the textile end up in the environment, either from washing or from contact with various surfaces. We don't like microplastics; therefore, we choose the natural alternative, even though it is a bit more cumbersome and costly.
